Notion Sync for Sheets keeps your Notion databases and your Google
Sheets™ spreadsheets in sync, both directions, automatically.
A Google Workspace Add-on by Four Ducks. Link a Notion database to a tab,
and edits flow both ways on their own — no CSV exports, no copy-pasting.
What it does
- Edit a cell in Sheets and the change reaches Notion within seconds. Add a row and a
Notion page is created; delete a row and the page is archived.
- Changes made in Notion appear in Sheets within five minutes. Only changed rows are
rewritten, so your cursor and selection are left alone.
- Sync now runs an immediate two-way pass at any time, on every tier.
- When the same field changes on both sides between passes, the later edit wins and the
losing value is written to the sync log rather than discarded.
How it works
- Install the add-on and open the sidebar in Google Sheets.
- Paste your Notion integration token and pick a database you have shared with it.
- Link that database to a tab. The first sync fills the tab in.
- Edit either side. Use Sync now whenever you want an immediate pass.
Permissions it requests, and why
The add-on asks for the minimum access it needs, and nothing more:
- See and edit only the current spreadsheet — so it can read and
write the linked tab. It cannot see or touch your other Google Sheets or Drive files.
- Connect to external services — so it can call the Notion API.
Requests go only to
api.notion.com.
- Run on a schedule — so the background pass can poll Notion for
changes and write them into your sheet.
- Display the sidebar — so the add-on can show its interface
inside Google Sheets.
Your data stays yours.
There is no back-end server. The add-on runs
entirely inside Google Apps Script under your own Google account, and your Notion token
is stored there. Your spreadsheet and Notion content never pass through our
infrastructure. See the Privacy Policy for
details.
